My copy: purchased through Simon & Schuster
Quick YA read. Teen chick lit.
While the theme is typical high school, the storytelling is excellent. I found it very interesting and funny with a few twists I did not expect.
Recommendation: 3.5/5

YA chick lit.
I have conflicting thoughts on this book. I love the idea - an unknown journey decided by a dead person's wishes. However, I wish Ginny, the main character, was older. Based on the activities, she should be older. It would make the story more believable. If she was college-aged, it would be a story that could of happened in real life but Ginny is maybe 17 and a junior in high school. I realize high school students can travel but to travel so randomly with no questions asked or major problems? I find that difficult to believe. I realize not all books are based on real life but... I also wish the novel ended with the 13th envelope but it makes a perfect segue to a sequel.
Anyways, I did really like this book. I think it would be amazing to be able to have Ginny's adventure. What an experience. I definitely recommend the book.
Recommendation: 4/5

I suppose everyone has a chance to imagine what they want (like a junior in hs traveling along). Interesting that YA is so hot these days that anything works. But, you said you liked it, so perhaps others do too? Congrats on all your posts lately!
Thanks, Linda. I've really been trying to blog everyday for the Blogher challenge.
